The World’s Oldest Teeth
Honestly who could ask for a better name for the lead archeologist for a dig in Israel (or anywhere for that matter) than Gopher? 😀 No offense Mr. Avi Gopher just a bit of playfulness. A recent story has come out of Israel that a tooth of a homo sapien is twice as old as previously thought and places the oldest 'man' in Israel. That's gotta raise the collective secular-Israeli psyche knowing they can now brag about being the origin of mankind right? Not that its unique for origins of man to originate from Hebrew speaking people of course (think Genesis), but to actually lay claim to being the place where the world's oldest tooth is found is setting the evolutionary community on alert for possible changes to held theories of mankind's origins.
The article states: "The accepted scientific theory is that Homo sapiens originated in Africa and migrated out of the continent. Gopher said if the remains are definitively linked to modern human's ancestors, it could mean that modern man in fact originated in what is now Israel."
